據(jù)油氣新聞2月5日消息稱,全球能源巨頭??松梨谡紤]與印度簽署更多長期天然氣銷售協(xié)議,因為不斷上漲的現(xiàn)貨價格增加了長期合同的吸引力。
埃克森美孚天然氣公司(印度)首席執(zhí)行官Monte Dobson說:“我們當然很高興與我們的朋友和合作伙伴在印度簽署這種長期合同,讓很大一部分能源需求從價格角度免受風險?!?/p>
目前,埃克森美孚簽署了一份長期合同,每年向印度Petronet液化天然氣公司供應150萬噸液化天然氣。
印度是世界第四大天然氣進口國。隨著印度總理Narendra Modi設定目標,到2030年將天然氣在該國能源結構中的份額從目前的6.2%提高到15%,印度對天然氣的需求也將增長。
公司正在投資數(shù)十億美元建設管道和天然氣進口終端,以滿足印度不斷增長的需求。

Exxon eyes more long-term gas supply deals with India
Global energy major ExxonMobil is looking at signing more long-term gas sales deals with India as rising spot prices have added to the appeal of longer duration contracts.
“We’re certainly happy to work with our friends and partners in India to sign the kind of long-term contracts that allow a large part of the energy demand to be de risked from a price perspective,” said Monte Dobson, CEO, ExxonMobil Gas (India).
At present Exxon has a long-term contract to annually supply 1.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas to Indian firm Petronet LNG.
India is the world’s fourth biggest importer of gas. And the fuel’s demand in India is set to grow as Prime Minster Narendra Modi has set a target to raise the share of gas in the country’s energy mix to 15% by 2030 from the current 6.2%.
Companies are investing billions of dollars to build pipelines and gas import terminals to meet the rising demand in India.
